Amalgamated Hardware Merchants Ltd is a manufacturer, importer and distributor of outdoor lifestyle, gardening, hardware and camping products to the Australasian consumer retail market. We have an established network and currently offer 7,500 lines to over 1200+ retail customers. AHM has responded to today’s market environment of close competition and changing consumer demands. We recognise the needs of retailers and their customers by developing our products and services to support and assist them. What this means for retailers and suppliers is a genuine commitment to customer service and, more importantly, the opportunity to improve profitability. AHM provides many services to make business functions faster and more efficient. To ensure we process orders in line with our customers’ needs, we have developed a modern centralised distribution centre to provide for a rapid turn around in supply and maintain a high rate of order fulfilment. AHM was formed after a merger in 1980, of rural supply wholesaler company Smith and Chisholm and J.K Lawrence Hardware and Housewares. In 1986 the P.R Colebrook Wholesaling Company was purchased which significantly increased the import licences available to AHM. AHM has changed its focus from general wholesale with the development of its own proprietary brands such as Atlas Trade, McGregor’s, Campmaster, Festiva, and Suzy. The business is focused on lowering its distribution and overhead costs, and investing heavily in technology to ensure our service levels remain world's best practice in the Australasian market.
