Ambient, Inc. was formed in 2000 to provide high-level management, financial and technical consulting services to rapidly-growing companies in the software, financial services, business process outsourcing and telecom industries. Its initial projects included providing high-level technical resources on CRM middleware projects, first at a mid-sized business process outsourcing vendor and later, a leading multi-line insurance company. Ambient also helped a number of software and specialty hardware companies define and then communicate their unique value propositions to their clients. Presently, Ambient provides management and financial consulting services focused on helping Ambient's clients create, plan, and measure business value through a hands-on approach that integrates strategy with business, financial and operational planning, all the way through to post-implementation evaluation and measurement. Ambient has developed an ROI methodology and application that provides a transparent, vendor-agnostic approach - based on client data, not 'industry standard' default values - to evaluating the comprehensive ROI from proposed technology acquisitions and process improvement initiatives. Both vendors and their clients have found the approach invaluable in aiding their understanding of the true 'hard dollar' costs and benefits of their projects.
