Ambient Stratagem

Shaped by experience and structured for those working at the edge of trust, Ambient Stratagem is not a publication, it is a war doctrine. It was created because the systems we rely on, for funding, policy, procurement and even narrative are no longer aligned with the conditions we face. Much of what is being built today is shaped by the visible lessons of recent wars, particularly Ukraine. But what’s visible isn’t always what’s most relevant. The environments are real but they are not necessarily the ones we’ll face next. Designing systems around the last war, rather than the next, is how capability gaps widen. This is not a coincidence. In the Grey Zone, perception is a domain of warfare. From venture capital to policymaking, priorities are being influenced, some deliberately, by adversaries who understand how to skew attention; others through unintentional alignment with convenience, consensus, or risk aversion. We created Ambient Stratagem to push back. Not with commentary. With doctrine. Doctrine that starts with survivability and works backwards from there. Built by those who’ve worn the kit, led under pressure and seen what happens when the system breaks.
