AME was established in the year 1978 as Society of Industrial and Production Engineers(SIPE) for the empowerment of students of production background.Later in 1996, it was re-named as ASSOCIATION OF MANUFACTURING ENGINEERS(AME) for the young minds of manufacturing division.Since then it has to be an effective contributor in the expansion of knowledge.
AME has organized various guest lectures by notable personalities for students of Department of Manufacturing Engineering and College of Engineering Guindy. It is focused on the development of management and technical skills of the students by organizing national level technical symposium under the banner of MANUSYS. It aims in forging the knowledge of students towards excellency.
