The AMELA research project aims to develop a molecular assay to predict the malignant potential of ambiguous melanocytic skin lesions by whole genome copy number analysis. This assay should aid the current diagnostic practice of melanocytic skin lesions in order to improve patient management.
The AMELA project is a collaboration between the Antwerp University Hospital and University of Antwerp.
