American Educational Institute is the premier provider of self-study training programs in claims law and coverage. Students learn to identify legal issues, analyze claim problems and apply what they've learned to their everyday claims handling. The results are better claim decisions, and settlements that are reasonable and appropriate.
AEI's courses are applicable to a claim professional's daily job and the textbooks can be used as a reference source. The self-study format and flexible course schedules and exams, allow claims professionals to fit the courses into their busy lifestyles. Counselors are available to assist students by telephone and e-mail. Comments are provided as feedback to exam answers, which allow students to learn from their mistakes and apply that information to their job.
AEI offers programs in all areas of property/casualty insurance. AEI's foundation program in the law, Legal Principles, has application across all lines of insurance and addresses many common law issues affecting insurance claims. AEI's other programs address specific legal issues in the following areas of insurance: Liability, Property, Automobile, Workers' Compensation and Fraud.
Designations are earned upon successful completion of each program. AEI's highest designation, the Senior Claim Law Associate (SCLA), is the ultimate in claims professionalism and is earned by completing Legal Principles and three additional programs of the student's choice.
