American Owl Analysis

We are an organization based on the analysis of global issues pertinent to U.S. national security. The world is a small and increasingly hostile place, the actions of foreign nations overseas have a direct effect on the lives of Americans here at home. America is safer when its allies are strong, enemies are weak, and when it is the leader of the free world. Inspired by the owl mascot of the Allison Center for National Security, the owl represents a middle ground between the hawks and doves of the foreign policy decision-making world. The owl is a peaceful creature, but it is one capable of immense and unrestrained violence when required, and thus symbolizes a middle ground where peace can be achieved through a balance of soft power and well-thought out moments of hard power.
