American Queen Voyages began in 2011 as American Queen Steamboat Company, the owner and operator of the U.S.-flagged American Queen®, the largest, most opulent riverboat in the world. Her journeys through the heartland offer a unique perspective on America’s history, culture and landscape with convenient departures from some of America’s most iconic river port cities, including Memphis, New Orleans, Cincinnati, Louisville, Pittsburgh, St. Louis and Minneapolis. Offering an all-inclusive experience since inception, the American Queen Voyages guest experience includes a free pre-cruise hotel stay, unlimited included guided tours in every port, unlimited beverages, open bars & lounges, acclaimed cuisine, live daily entertainment & enrichment, and more. In April 2014, American Queen Voyages began serving the Pacific Northwest with the American Empress® (the largest paddlewheeler west of the Mississippi River) and added the American Duchess® (the first purposely built boutique paddlewheeler) in August 2017. The fourth boat to join the American Queen Voyages fleet was the American Countess™, which was christened in March 2021. American Queen Voyages Lakes & Oceans vessels Ocean Voyager™ and Ocean Navigator™ began sailing the Great Lakes in 2019 and exclusively dock at Chicago’s Navy Pier. The newly Ocean Victory™ expedition ship began in Alaska May 2022.
