Asahi Glass Co. Ltd (AGC Inc.) the world's foremost glass producer was founded by Mr. Toshiya Iwasaki and determine to take on the challenge of domestic flat glass production in the 1900s. The Search commenced for a new plant site could offer convenient water transportation and room to expand. In the end, Amagasaki, Hyogo, was selected as the location for the new plant. The land acquired in August 1907 become the site of Amagasaki Plant, where Asahi Glass Born. This large number of annual capacity ranks Asahimas not only as the largest glass manufacturer in Indonesia but also in Southeast Asia.
