Amfipolis is a town at the foot of Mount Pangaion ("Pangaia" was a supercontinent that existed during the late Paleozoic era). Pangaion is famous since antiquity for its rich silver and gold mines. Philip of Macedon, father of Alexander the Great, and other members of the royal family used the gold for the magnificent jewelry and vaults discovered in the famous Macedonian tombs! “Amfipolis Apiculture” has produced a line of premium honeys, plain and with edible gold, with a real story to tell that easily sets them apart and above competition!
