AMG Lithium GmbH ("AMG Lithium"), is a subsidiary of AMG Critical Materials N.V. ("AMG") which is a globally operating group for critical metals, mineral products, highly specialized furnace systems and related services with over 3,600 employees.
AMG Lithium is headquartered in the Industriepark Höchst in Frankfurt, Germany. We focus on the production of high-quality lithium-containing materials for the Energy Storage sector, preliminary materials for the next generation of Li-ion batteries needed for electromobility.
AMG Lithium is recently commissioning a refinery plant for Lithium Hydroxide Battery Grade (LiOH) in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Germany.
In Frankfurt, AMG Lithium operates research labs to support the production facility. In addition, we do research and development on novel materials for next-generation batteries. Our labs were equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
With the LiOH production in central Europe AMG Lithium will be the first LiOH Battery Grade supplier with a production site on European mainland. We are in the heart of European’s emerging battery industry with short lead time and security of supply.

- Huge lithium expertise: The German team located in Frankfurt/Main has an extensive professional background in the lithium business, starting from R&D of battery materials, raw material extraction, and commerce of lithium chemicals.
-Long-term mining expertise: AMG Lithium is fully backwards-integrated to Li raw materials. In Brazil AMG is mining and concentrating spodumene, a lithium containing ore and key raw material.
