AMHT manufactures optical fibre cables and our product range includes underground, aerial and FTTH (Fibre To The Home) optical fibre cables. Our world-class manufacturing facility, situated at no 4 Derrick Road, Spartan, Kempton Park, Johannesburg, South Africa, utilises state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment including fibre colouring, tubing, stranding, filler and sheathing lines capable of efficient, top quality and continuous production. Our on-site laboratory and test facility inspects all incoming raw materials and tests manufactured cables to meet the latest specifications and customer requirements. We offer a comprehensive range of ODN accessories and specialised optical fibre cable designs, in conjunction with our shareholders, Hengtong Optical Fibre Cable Company, which is a world leader in optical fibre cable and accessory supply. AMhengtong Africa Telecoms Pty Ltd (AMHT) was founded on the May 2019, is a joint venture between Alcon Marepha and Hengtong Opti Electric. Alcon Marepha is a 100% black female, youth-owned, Level 1 BBBEE contributor, and is established as a manufacturer and supplier of Overhead Aluminium conductor in South Africa and abroad. Hengtong is the largest producer of optical fibre in China and ranked as one of the top 3 optical fibre cable and accessory producers in the world. Listed on two stock exchanges in China, Hengtong has several investments in South Africa including that of AMHengtong Africa Telecoms PTY LTD (AMHT).
