The Centre for Stem Cell and Cancer Genomics, AMI BioScience was founded, 2016 in recognition of the tremendous promise that the discipline of Stem Cell Biology, Molecular Biology and Genomics offers for our understanding of development and discovery of new molecular markers as well as treatments of Cancer. According to the surveys and experience of my students and friends, ninety percent of Biotech, Biological and Biomedical Science students are not getting practical hands-on training in advanced research techniques to get more opportunities of successful careers. Considering the insufficiency, we have started hand-on training courses, certificate programs and research programs with emphasis on high quality and relevant content delivery to students. The research interests of faculty associated with Centre for Stem Cell and Cancer Genomics, AMI BioScience, from model organisms to understand the of Cancer Stem cell, studies on molecular mechanism of cancer stem cell activation during the interaction of our immune system with cancer and cancer treatments, from studies on how to protect the body from the toxic effects of current cancer treatments to the development of new treatments that target cancer cells while sparing the normal cells of the body. We have many distinguished scientists from around the world on our Scientific Advisory Board and they are actively participating and supporting our initiative. We hope to make CSCCG, AMI BioScience one of the best research centres in India. Our focus is on providing “knowledge and skills”. We look forward to welcoming you at the CSCCG, AMI BioScience for a productive program.
