Logging transactions manually felt tedious and required consistent effort to turn it into a habit. We wanted to simplify the entire process—creating something that would make personal finance management not only easier but also intuitive and automated. At the same time, we wanted to avoid the costs associated with Account Aggregator integration, which would charge both us and our users for every data fetch. What is Amigo AI? Amigo AI is an all-in-one personal finance management app tailored specifically for iOS users. What started as a solution to our own struggles with manual transaction logging has evolved into a powerful tool that automates budgeting, provides AI-driven insights, and supports multiple language models for personalized financial guidance. The app leverages Gmail Sync to automatically log transactions and offers various AI-driven features like category-based budget management and spending insights. How Amigo AI Works • Gmail Sync: Initially, we built Amigo AI to manually manage transactions, but it wasn’t long before we grew tired of manual entry. When we integrated Gmail Sync, everything changed for the better. The app now performs a delta sync every time it’s opened, quickly and accurately fetching transactions from Gmail, making manual logging obsolete. A quick note: we’re still finalizing our TAC security compliance, so you might see a "Not Safe" warning during Gmail login. We’re working on it and should have it resolved soon! • AI-Powered: Amigo AI integrates advanced language models like Gemini 1.5 Pro, GPT-4o, and Claude 3.5 Sonnet to provide predefined prompts, offering insights and summaries of your spending.
