AMINNOSYS is a European revolutionary and affordable eHealth system, targeted at saving millions of lives in Africa, especially those who live too far from hospitals. This program is meant to advance Universal Health Coverage (UHC), antimicrobial stewardship and the fight against fake drugs.
Our Medical Telemedicine, Prescription & Sick Leave System using chatbot SMS to fight against covid and sale of fake medication. Thanks to our telemedicine system we save lives in Africa, especially those who live too far from hospitals. We have 2 dedicated systems – one for children and the other for adults. In the future, we plan to have systems dedicated to other specializations, like cardiology, etc.
Currently, patients are given medical prescriptions on papers, which sometimes get lost. And in most cases, patients go straight to pharmacists without getting prescriptions from doctors, or worse, they buy counterfeit medications on roadsides which does not only result in bad/longer treatment but also puts the patient's life in danger.
In this regard, our challenge was to find a new way to provide doctors, pharmacies (authorized sell points of medicines), and patients with a safe, reliable, and secure way to manage prescriptions without the internet. So we created a universal telecom service using an SMS chatbot. This service would allow the issuance of electronic medical prescriptions without an internet connection. This way, patients receive only encrypted prescription identifiers (with no medication listed) and only pharmacies or authorized sale points of medicines would be able to read the list of medications prescribed.
