AMLO Bros.

An archipelagic country, the Philippines consists of 7,641 islands with a total coastline of 36,289 km. It is 7th in the world in terms of the number of islands and 5th in terms of the longest coastline. The extensive area of its bays and coastal and oceanic waters gives the country’s maritime sector and its allied industries a vital and critical role to play in the inclusive economic growth and sustainable development of the Philippines. Among the sector’s significant contributions to the Philippine economy are the development of world-class seafarers; the movement of people and cargo across islands, regions, and provinces; vibrant fishing, shipping, shipbuilding, tourism, and related industries; and effective and efficient delivery of government services throughout the country. For centuries, the country’s maritime waters have served as a major medium for the transport of goods for domestic and international trade. Beyond its national borders, the maritime waters link the Philippines’ commerce and trade with neighboring Asian countries through its strategic location in global shipping routes. The present situation of shipping and fishing enterprises and the projected future demand for ships/boats and manpower resources, are the critical consideration AMLO Bros. Group decided to embark in the domestic shipping, ship management, ports and logistics management, maritime education and training, and maritime administration, among others. The name of the company was designed to be short and brief and as much as possible will bear meaning to the pillars of the institution. Hence, the name of the company was taken from the first letter of the given name of four (4) prime movers: Antonio, Miguel, Lloyd, and Oscar. To date, the following companies comprise the AMLO Group of Companies: AMLO Bros. Marine, Inc. AMLO Bros. Training and Education, Corp. The first Company of the Group of Companies was formally launched on 30 January 2020.
