AMOAMI

AMOAMI is a social impact organization, created in April 2022 with the main goal of supporting refugee women from Ukraine who had to flee because of war. Currently, our team counts with more than 60 women who create beautiful crochet bears following a Japanese technique called "amigurumi". This plush toy has been designed with inspiration in the typical Ukrainian embroideries found in the Vyshyvankas. We usually meet all together during workshops organized in Spain (Madrid, Galicia, Segovia, Marbella, Euskadi and Valencia), Switzerland and France. Our impact is triple by: - Facilitating economic support for Ukrainian women. - Using crochet as therapy. - Creating a community and providing motivation and purpose. Amoami actively collaborates with strategic partners and esteemed institutions that share our core values and are committed to making tangible and meaningful impact to local communities.
