MOASIS

MOASIS – the Mozambican Association for Sustainable Information Systems, is a non-profit NGO that specialises in adapting information and communication technologies (ICT) to local contexts with limited resources, aiming to drive sustainable development in Mozambique. From building innovative information systems to training local professionals, we deliver practical and accessible solutions tailored to the real needs of communities. Our work spans multiple areas: from the development and support of information systems to the installation of ICT infrastructure, interoperability solutions, renewable energy, and digital empowerment. We prioritise sustainable practices, local ownership of projects, and the responsible use of technology to safeguard the environment and promote digital inclusion. Guided by the values of innovation, sustainability, accessibility, collaboration, and transparency, we partner closely with governments, businesses, civil society organisations, and communities to turn local challenges into opportunities for social, economic, and environmental growth. Our approach ranges from identifying gaps and assessing needs to developing technologies and providing ongoing support to ensure quality, maintenance, and sustainability. At MOASIS, we believe that digital empowerment and education are key to social transformation, and we are committed to providing solutions that promote equity and digital inclusion for all Mozambicans.
