A.M. Ortega has proudly served as one of Southern California’s premier Underground Utility Construction providers for over 49 years. Our team has completed over 10,000 projects since 1974.
Our Pipeline Division constructs distribution and transmission pressure natural gas and petroleum pipelines ranging in size from ½” low pressure service lines to 36” high pressure transmission pipelines.
Our Dry Utilities Division constructs distribution and transmission sized duct bank facilities for electric, telecommunications, CATV, and similar purposes.
Our Paving & Grading Division supports pipeline and conduit projects throughout our service area. This division also includes our fencing and barriers unit, which does commercial and industrial fencing, as well as barrier posts and bollards.
Our Power unit constructs commercial and industrial low and medium voltage power and signals projects, including substation control systems, station light and power work for utility substations, pipeline regulator and valve station control wiring, Distributed Energy Solutions installations, Electric Vehicle Charging Stations, and assorted commercial and industrial wiring projects.
Our Utility Design unit provides natural gas and electric facilities distribution designs, and traffic control designs, as well as permitting support, for a variety of utility company and private property applicants.
We are committed to the success and quality of every project, big or small. We have built an extraordinary team of committed professionals who are experts in managing projects of all sizes. Our Field Crews are comprised entirely of men and women represented by the IBEW, Local Union 47 and 569, and the United Association Union of Plumbers, Fitters, Welders, and Service Technicians, Local Unions 250, 345, 460 and 469. A.M. Ortega crews are prepared to take on dry utilities projects from the generating station to the customer house connection anywhere in the Southwest.
