Amos Owens Moonshine Vodka Our founders Adam and Mark have known each other since they were four and have been best friends since. They founded Amos Owens in 2019 having both discovered a passion for local spirits on their travels around the world, from Cachaca in Brazil to Tuzemak in the Czech Republic. Given the astronomic success of gin in recent years, the pair were surprised to learn that vodka was a more commonly consumed drink and also accounted for a large portion of the spirits market in the UK, (£3 Billion a year) despite a lack of high-quality options. Researching distillation processes and base ingredients the pair discovered Sugar Beet, grown in the UK and produces a smooth, slightly sweet spirit. Our Product Amos Owens Moonshine, is a premium Sugar Beet Vodka, distilled up to 95% in a single distillation on small batch (30L) copper stills. Distilling in this way ensures the purest vodka is taken from the heart of the still. Sugar Beet is naturally higher in sucrose than potatoes or grain and therefore gives a wonderfully smooth and slightly sweet finish when enjoyed neat. We have two products, the Original which is our flavourless vodka at 40% abv & Cherry Bounce vodka at 38% abv. Both products come in three sizes, 5cl, 25cl and 70cl. Our Brand, Amos was an Irish immigrant to America in the mid 1800’s after fighting in the civil war he wanted a slower pace of life and settled in North Carolina. He found himself 100 acres of land which covered a barren mountain. Locals thought he was crazy, but to their surprise, uncle Amos, as he was fondly known, managed to grow cherry trees. From this he distilled his famous Cherry Bounce Moonshine and a legend was born. Our Goals 1. To provide high quality vodkas in a range of flavours under the umbrella of Moonshine, and to re-establish vodka as the go to spirit in bars, clubs, events venues and restaurants in the UK and beyond. 2. Developing Amos Owens into a household brand stocked in major retailers.
