Girl Up Amoyan is a club under the Girl Up Campaign initiated by United Nations Foundation which mainly focuses to eliminate gender inequalities among the Female Sportspersons, E Sports Gamers, Streamers and Comedians. It was founded by Sulakshana Saikia and Arnab Biswas in May 2020.
It's very common for all of us to see that somewhere or another, females are discouraged and demotivated wherever possible in this world. There are many girls who have immense talent but are unable to showcase it because of the biasness they have to face in this society due to constraints and limitation of resources etc.
The female sportspersons, who showcase the same amount of motivation and hardwork are not recognised and do not receive equal encouragement as compared to their counterparts.
The female ESports Gamers and Streamers who exhibit the same amount of dedication are barely known just because of their gender.
And lastly, the female comedians, who have the best sense of humor are always looked down for their profession with derogatory slurs and the worst sexist jokes possible.
Considering all these aspects, Girl Up Amoyan works to deal with such issues in order to eliminate the gender discrimination as much as we can.
Along with these we also work on all the other issues faced by women in this modern world.
