We're committed to helping kids and adults sit less, stand more. Studies consistently point to negative health outcomes from sedentary lifestyles, with an increased likelihood of high blood pressure, heart disease and obesity, as well as poor musculoskeletal outcomes. ‘Sitting is the new smoking’ might seem dramatic, but it draws media attention to the problem. Equally important, is the impact of being sedentary on cognition i.e., the way we take and process information in our brain. It's accepted that people who ‘move’ focus better than those who are consistently seated. School furniture doesn’t allow students to react to the ‘messages to move’ sent by the brain to the body. Similarly, teachers shouldn’t be constrained to a table, preventing them from interacting with their students. We believe in change through innovation.
