Its' history dates back to 2007 when it was known as Metro Money Exchange Sdn Bhd, conducting the business operations of importing and exporting foreign currency banknotes. Subsequently, Metro Money Exchange Sdn. Bhd. is being acquired by ACE Credit Sdn. Bhd. (ACE Group) in year 2019.
In a corporate exercise aimed at enlarging its market share, Metro Exchange transformed itself with a rebranding under the name ACE Money Exchange (AMX) Sdn Bhd from July 2020.
