Anacostia (Digital Series on Amazon Prime Video)

Anacostia is a Daytime Emmy-winning (five-time nominated, including a 2015 nomination for Outstanding Show in the digital series category) scripted digital drama, chronicling the lives of characters from or connected to the historic Washington, D.C. neighborhood. Helmed by creator and director/writer/star Anthony Anderson since the show's initial 2009 debut, the show has continued to grow and develop over five seasons (as of December 2017), attracting some of Washington D.C.'s brightest local theater, television, and film talent in both on- and off-camera roles. Currently found on Amazon Prime, ANACOSTIA began in 2009 as YouTube.com series, delivering the online platform's first-ever acting Emmy in 2015, with Martha Byrne's win for her portrayal of "Alexis Jordan" in her debut year.
