Analytics Africa is an open association for all things data - Analysts, Data Science, Database Administration, Business Intelligence, Big Data & Data Governance with special emphasis on Africa. We are a virtual Community serving the academic, professional and business needs of Data Analytics related careers among professionals including educators, scientists, managers, analysts, consultants, and all-round individuals (students inclusive) interested in Data Analytics and related professions throughout Africa. The overall objective is to create a melting pot where people can learn, start a career path in Data Analytics, and network with other practitioners amongst many other benefits that will arise from this initiative. Our Vision To be a rallying point for Data Analytics practitioners across the continent of Africa and also serve as a catalyst in establishing ethics and standards in the Data Analytics profession Our Mission • To ensure and promote professional practices and ethical standards. • To develop and implement quality training and educational programs with certification in data science and analytics related careers for students, individual practitioners/professionals, corporations, organizations, and government bodies. • To build partnership with research and analytics organizations, corporations and government parastatals, businesses, higher Institutions and individual professionals across Africa. • To provide essential business guidance and expand the business and practice of basic and applied research analytics and emerging technologies in analytics. • To network professionals and passionate students in data analytics-related careers to join Analytics Africa and serve as distinguished members. • To tell a true story of the African continent with facts and figures
