As the usage of orthodox sources of energy has proven to create inefficiencies and negative externalities, Infinite Light renders a blockchain and carbon credit-based solar solution. This innovative project targets people with limited or no access to reliable sources of electricity and furnishes them with an affordable solar kit through a ‘rent-to-own’ model to illuminate, cool, and electrify their households. Through this, our vision is to create clean and self-sustainable communities, where poverty, health and environmental hazards are reduced and literacy is enhanced. Infinite Light will first be implemented in two phases in our pilot village in Dalippur, Bihar, India by 2020 and later, expanded to other Indian states as well as outside the subcontinent.
