Andika Check

Andika Check is an independent media organization from Burundi that focuses on fact-checking and investigative journalism. Its mission is to fight misinformation and disinformation in Burundi, the East African Community, and across Africa. Using Kirundi, Kinyarwanda, English, French, and Swahili, Andika Check makes sure its work reaches people in the languages they understand best. As the first fact-checking initiative of its kind in Burundi, Andika Check combines serious investigations, public awareness, and cross-border teamwork to promote truth and honest communication across the Great Lakes region and the continent.
