African Network on Gender Equality and Sustainable Development (ANGEL_SD)

ANGEL-SD is a non-profit association (registered with receipt N°: N000001009201 in Burkina Faso) which aims to support civil society organizations in African countries to effectively take gender into account in the various projects and programs, to work towards the implementation of the gender policies and strategies of the various international and African institutions through training, capacity building, empowerment, advocacy, in all sectors of sustainable development. Its objectives are: - Mobilization of resources to support the States and their communities in the effective consideration of gender in their various interventions; - Economic empowerment of disadvantaged groups; - Capacity building for women, girls, men and boys in the various areas of development; - Support for structures of women and young people; - Fundrising for women's/men's girls'/boys' associations; - Conduct of gender analysis; - Training on topics related to gender; - Raising awareness of the importance of gender equality in the various actions; Its Vision: An Africa where women, men, girls and boys, agents of their own well-being, each have access to opportunities that allow them to participate in the development of the continent. Mission: ANGEL-SD's mission is to contribute to the effective fight against gender inequalities in all development sectors (energy, agriculture, climate change, environment, mining, health, sport, army, etc.) in Africa through the capacity building of men, women, girls and boys for their effective participation, and to work to empower the disadvantaged strata in Africa.
