Anglesea Hospital is a limited liability company, privately owned by clinicians with a formal board of directors. Anglesea Hospital is governed by a Board, run by a General Manager and employs 89 staff. The Company was formed by a number of leading clinicians with a desire to provide a high quality, cost effective and friendly facility in the Waikato area, in New Zealand. Planning commenced in 2006 with construction and the first operations started in September 2007. What is now known as Anglesea Hospital was born out of this in 2012. From a modest base the company has grown substantially over the years to operate at its current maximum capacity whilst still retaining the original values that guided the founding stakeholders. Anglesea Hospital is the only clinician owned and run private hospital facility in the Waikato offering multi-disciplinary surgery using cutting edge technological innovations in a professional and compassionate environment for all stakeholders. From the beginning Anglesea Hospital has been a special organisation due to its people and retains this to this day. From the founding shareholders and director’s passion and enthusiasm to the high quality management and staff, Anglesea Hospital reflects the best in health care for the sector that it operates in. From this base we have consistently shown exceptional outcomes and perform well above industry averages.
