ANGSTROM provides specialized industrial equipment services incorporating technical services, manufacture, repair, reconditioning and component supply to metals, mining and other industrial process plant and equipment operators and original equipment manufacturers. The Company was founded in 1992 by the present owners, comprehensive engineering facilities is housed in a modern and well equipped 5,000 sq mt building outside Johannesburg.
The company was acquired by VAI in 2000 and operated under VA Tech and later renamed Siemens VAI. Siemens introduced additional technology, innovation and marketing channels. Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery and Siemens VAI Metals Technologies have joined forces to form a new company: Primetals Technologies. Angstrom is servicing clients in SA and rest of Africa and is still conducting joint venture projects with Primetals Technologies.

Angstrom is the agent of UK based Corewire consumables, technology and systems in South Africa. Angstrom is the dedicated channel distributor of MFL Maschinenfabrik Liezen in most African countries. Angstrom is also an approved supplier of TR-Electronic based in Germany, they develop manufacture and sell sensors and actuators for industrial applications in automation technology.
