Anne Maghas

Anne Maghas is an angel investor, serial entrepreneur, and mentor passionate about contributing to economic equity. She is a staunch advocate for female entrepreneurs, and relentlessly champions for accelerating women to receive more venture capital. However, for this to successfully happen, we need more diverse angel investors. In fact, according to a study by the Angel Capital Association, 51% of women consider the founders’ gender to be highly important, while only 6% of their male counterparts considered the founder’s gender to be highly important. For this reason, it’s her joy and passion to mentor up-and-coming angel investors and female founders. She understands that both worlds need each other to exist and collaborate to increase economic equity. She helps angel investors learn the fundamentals of investing and how to mitigate investment risks and evaluate potential investments. She also coaches female founders to learn how to navigate the funding ecosystem. Anne works to cultivate safe spaces for angel investors of color and female founders of color to learn and apply their knowledge and she’s excited to support you in your journey.
