Anode Governance Lab

Anode Governance Lab is a Bangalore-based organisation that works towards strengthening governance and enabling public institutions to function effectively. Anode’s work includes research and analysis of legal frameworks, strengthening institutional capacities of local governments, leveraging technology for better transparency and accountability and impact evaluation. Its work is anchored in the belief that vibrant and learning institutions adapt and negotiate with the external environment to deliver their mandate consistently. Anode’s institution-building efforts leverage organisation development (OD) and management principles, which adopts a systemic view to change, associating with members of institutions as participants and not recipients of change. Starting in Karnataka in 2009, Anode has expanded its impact across India, strengthening local governments in Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh.
