ANSDIMAT is a software developed for well field design, aquifer test interpretation and wellhead protection areas. ANSDIMAT uses analytical and numerical methods for a variety of hydrogeological conditions and boundaries.
ANSDIMAT can be used to:
- determine the aquifer parameters from aquifer test results;
- estimate sustainable borehole yield and optimise wellfield production;
- assess environmental issues where understanding the dynamics of the aquifer is required to evaluate the distribution of contaminants in the subsurface;
- evaluate the requirements for dewatering around mining and construction sites;
- delineate the wellhead protection area.
ANSDIMAT offers solutions for confined, unconfined and leaky aquifers, takes into account partial penetration, barriers, recharge and bore storage. ANSDIMAT also provides solutions for horizontal heterogeneous aquifers, inclined aquifers, multiple boreholes in a well field and mine dewatering options. Finally, ANSDIMAT can determine the extension of a catchment or the extension of the source protection zones (SPZ - UK, SGZ - Europe, WHPA - USA) around a borehole or a well field.
ANSDIMAT is to be used by hydrogeologists and water managers for analysis and decision making. Software users must be familiar with analytical solutions and their range of application.
