The book A Dream About Antarctica covers a few stories simultaneously. It is a personal story of how the author, Markiyan Prokhasko, made his dream come true and went to the Ukrainian Vernadsky Research Base in the Antarctic Peninsula. The author describes his adventures in the Drake Passage, in the Southern Ocean, and among dozens of Antarctic islands.
You can find stories about penguins, moss, and whales. At the same time, the author has created storytelling on how humanity was dreaming of finding Terra Incognita Australis.
The research on how Ukraine managed to get a British base previously called Faraday is also included. Markiyan has also explained climate change, the Antarctic treaty, astronomy, biology, geophysics, history, and so on.
The Antarctica Book Project was established to manage some other projects too.
We develop a special Antarctic website on the .aq domain. The idea of this website is to educate people about Antarctica. We will post about science and nature.
Among activities are creating video content and involvement in creating the Antarctica audio series.
