AntidoteDAO was created by Niko Katsuyoshi in late 2021 to take advantage of the developments in crypto/blockchain technology and aid developments in curing different cancers. Having lost countless family members to the terrible disease, he wanted to be able to do something to help for once.
The problem with typical charities is that they don't allow you to decide what your money funds and only 60-70% of your donation actually goes to the cause you are donating to.
AntidoteDAO aims to solve this problem by giving you voting rights in our DAO so you can vote and help decide where we allocate donation funds. We are also in the process of registering as a 501c3 nonprofit, so we can accept direct donations and offer tax write-offs. We aim to donate much more than 60-70% of these donations.
A DAO or decentralized autonomous organization distributes governance among token and NFT owners. It will allow the project to become community-controlled and fund cancer research directly and more efficiently.
