The ACF is a UK registered charity (No 1128310) whose goal is to honour Anton Chekhov’s literary and humanitarian legacy through a variety of cultural and charitable projects. Early Chekhov Translation Project: http://antonchekhovfoundation.org/ectp.html The Early Chekhov Translation Project aims to honour Chekhov's legacy by producing the first comprehensive annotated edition of his earliest stories in English for the benefit of readers worldwide. In a unique international collaboration, the Anton Chekhov Foundation has worked with over 80 volunteer translators from 9 countries, to produce a volume of 58 stories. The volume is to be published by the Academic Press Studies in Boston May 2025. Anton Chekhov's Therapeutic Garden in Devon: http://antonchekhovfoundation.org/garden.html Anton Chekhov’s Garden is a project conceived by the Anton Chekhov Foundation. The goal is to create welcoming and tranquil green places in healing environments in rural England, where patients receiving care, as well as the personnel providing it, can take respite and derive therapeutic benefit. The project was launched at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, 2-8 July 2018. Anna Benn and Hannah Gardner designed a garden inspired by Melikhovo, the country estate where Chekhov lived and worked in the 1890s. After the Hampton Court Show, Anton Chekhov’s Garden was moved to the Culm Valley Integrated Centre for Health in Devon, led by Dr Michael Dixon. Anton Chekhov's Garden is now regularly maintained by the Community Life Hub Group, a UK charity whose aim is to combat isolation and cognitive deterioration in older people, and to offer local support to anyone in need of help.
