Anumana Code Academy

1,000 disadvantaged children taught python each year in Greater Manchester. That is the vision for the Anumana Code Academy, a not-for-profit programme aiming to provide free python training to children in Manchester. With the increasing technical skills gap, imbalances with ethnic and gender diversity in technical roles and increasing barriers to entry for those in less fortunate circumstances, the Anumana Code Academy attempts to redress the balance. With University volunteers and corporate sponsors, we are looking to embed an annual programme of python training and work experience placements for disadvantaged children in schools in Manchester.
