Inspired by world renowned spiritual leader and philanthropist Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, “Light a Lamp” is an innovative “social transformation” initiative and under the aegis of Art of Living Foundation. Our Vision We aim to create a loving mentoring bond between the privileged and the students from the low-income strata of the society to kindle in them the spirit of learning and to enable them to find the right direction in life. Our Mission “Light a Lamp” strives to • create a platform where skills, expertise, resources and need-based guidance can be rendered to these under-privileged children. • Bridge the knowledge gap in society • Inculcate human values like belongingness, honesty, integrity and responsibility towards the society amongst the learners • Create an interest towards active volunteering amongst educated citizens Current Work Presently, “Light a Lamp” is operating in guiding the students in the following streams: Communicative English Mathematics and Science Art of Living courses for children and young adults
