The Master of Science Degree in Applied Political Analytics is offered jointly by the Department of Government and Politics and the Joint Program in Survey Methodology. The program provides advanced training in the application of data science to the analysis of key issues in political science. The program prepares students for careers in the private sector, research centers, NGO's, and federal, state, and local government agencies. The Master of Science in Applied Political Analytics consists of 15 credits in political science and 21 credits in data science. Students complete a major project in their second year that gives them the opportunity to apply the core skills that they have acquired in the program to address real-world problems.
