We have entered an exciting but challenging “Digital Era,” where the rules that have governed how we have lived and operated for the past 150 years will be changing in front of us, and create many new opportunities that reshape our future of sustainability. Asia Pacific Digital Economy Institute (APDEI) aims to create a center of excellence, leadership, and partnership to incubate new thinking and innovation in practice; advance thought-leadership; generate new growth opportunities; enhance the competitiveness and productivity of business; and cultivate talents to accelerate digital economy. Our goals are to achieve the following in the Asia Pacific region: - Empower decision-makers with knowledge and expertise: Generate and disseminate knowledge to help governments, businesses and society leverage new possibilities enabled by emerging digital technologies. - Advance research and advocacy: Provide research on policy and regulation, standards, technologies and industries, finance and investment, products and services, as well as upskilling and reskilling for future of work. - Cultivate the ecosystem of a new economy: Collaborate with public and private partners, as well as academic community and other institutions to build an ecosystem that redefines and reshapes tomorrow’s digital economy. - Enable organizational and cultural transformation: Facilitate the transformation of organizations and their culture for enhanced agility and adaption to the rapidly shifting context and changing markets. - Grow talents and leadership: Contribute to the development of the next generation of digital leaders and labor forces to champion the digital economy. - Invest in market opportunities: Capture investment and co-funding opportunities with financial institutions and government programs. And, - Communicate the revolution of a digital sustainable economy.
