Our oceans play a significant role in the global economy, weather, and long term climate trends. The Blue Economy is currently estimated at $1.5 trillion and expected to double by 2030. However, our real-time knowledge of the oceans is woefully incomplete. Existing and emerging markets require 4D ocean data - volumetric data over time - which is prohibitively expensive to acquire with today’s technologies. We need radically innovative approaches.
