APELEON engineers electric drones based on state-of-the-art technology and decades of aviation experience.
Our focus lies on sustainable air transport solutions to access remote places without the need for massive ground infrastructure. We combine the advantages of an aeroplane with those of a helicopter; all our vehicles can take off and land vertically (VTOL) and convince with exceptional cruise performance. Resulting in efficient aircraft with zero emissions and low operational costs.
Several years of research in the field of eVTOL technologies and Advanced Air Mobility have set the baseline for our first product – we commercialise an electric vertical take-off and landing drone to deliver priority cargo.
The Austrian Start-Up, VOLARE GmbH, based on the outskirts of Vienna, develops small and large disruptive vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft under the registered trademark APELEON. Founded in October 2017, we have been engineering demonstrators at various scales to test and evaluate the functionality and safety of our aircraft concepts. Now we are commercialising our electric cargo drone, while our long-term vision strives to disrupt air transport forever. Our engineering approach leverages the latest technology and creates solutions that thrive within the current regulatory frameworks, aviation industry and market conditions.
