Apha Biomat is part of the Ph Tech group, together with Meccellis Biotech (expert in biologics for Soft Tissue repair). Apha Biomat’s new industrial facility will support Xenopha’s manufacturing operations, alongside with Meccellis. Xenopha is the result of an intensive R&D program aiming at combining Meccellis’ expertise in biologics with a new biopolymer:P4HB. This hybrid combination allows for the design of natural 3D medical devices. Xenopha’s first indication is dedicated to breast reconstruction where a solution to replace silicon is eagerly awaited by patients and surgeons.
