Apollo MedSkills, an initiative of Apollo group of hospitals is the largest healthcare skilling industry in Asia. Apollo MedSkills has formed as a joint venture between Apollo Hospitals and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) was initially started at 3 centers in 2012, currently there are 31 training centers created in hub and spoke model across 11 states. These state-of-art centers span more than 1.5 lakh sq.ft with a capacity to train 3500 candidates every 3 months. Though Apollo MedSkills was set up in 2012, the actual operations happened during 2014 and started growing steadily because of constant efforts made by Dr Srinivasa Rao Pulijala, CEO – Apollo MedSkills. 2016 was successful year for Apollo MedSkills, with a solid business performance. this four-year initiative has committed to specifically impart skills for unemployed youth, school dropouts, and women particularly from backward regions and rural areas to enhance their employment opportunities. AMSL continuously redefines its efforts to benefit the large groups of disadvantaged population. In the last 4 years AMSL with support of its partners has impacted over 3 6,000 youth with an average placement rate of 70%. Our single-minded goal here is to skill and provide placement support or make them stand on their own feet.
