APOPO UK

APOPO UK is a registered charity in the UK supported by volunteers. We fund innovative projects and topical research that enables assistance through animal scent detection. By establishing networks, collaboration and developing partnerships with those working in the field, we help to provide solutions addressing social challenges for vulnerable communities around the world. Amongst those projects we will fund, we have chosen to partner with Apopo vzw, a highly reputable international charity with over 25 years experience in the animal scent detection field. Apopo vzw is taking the lead in animal scent innovation. The international team at Apopo vzw are conducting some pretty amazing and inspiring work. They are expertly training giant African Pouched HeroRats and scent detection HeroDogs to provide those solutions specifically for land mine detection, TB detection, disaster search & rescue and illegal animal trafficking. Apopo UK is funded through the generosity of the general public and grant giving bodies. We are exceedingly grateful for that support. As an autonomous grant giving body registered in England & Wales Charities Commission (No 1199007) we will consider funding projects that have special interest for our governing Board of Trustees however we are not currently open for unsolicited applications from third parties.
