Appalachia Design Services, Inc (ADS) is a full service civil, survey, and architectural design firm located in the center of the Tri-Cities in Blountville, Tennessee. We provide design for new commercial and industrial buildings, additions, upfits and renovations. We are partnered with JA Street & Associates, one of the most respected general contracting firms in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. The ADS and JA Street team share the same workspace which allows daily collaboration, and quick and efficient problem solving. This relationship allows each person to bring knowledge and aptness to deliver an individualized design with a reasonable and realistic construction budget using the design build frame of mind for faster project delivery with more and earlier owner collaboration. ADS is involved in the project from Feasibility & due diligence studies through bidding and construction with one goal in mind- to make our client’s vision become a reality. ADS can provide- • Feasibility & Due Diligence services - Feasibility assessment with as-built surveys, accessibility surveys, code analysis and project introduction with the local jurisdiction. • Preliminary design services – site feasibility assessment, programming, and conceptual renderings. Conceptual budgeting also takes place in this phase with our team at JA Street. • Construction documents – civil and architectural and coordination and collaboration with trusted consultants. The construction services team at JA Street commences the next project phases. • Permit procurement – permit coordination and applications, and any representation required with the local jurisdiction. • Bidding and negotiation – competitive bid analysis, subtractor & vendor coordination, and construction services. ADS, as a partner with JA Street, remains involved during the construction process to provide input on any client questions or input for changes the client wishes to make.
