APPIA is the leading anatomical pathology organization formed by industry partners who actively engage with individuals and organizations and across all phases of specimen acquisition, preparation and examination. We are a resource to those who contribute to quality patient outcomes. Our Mission Cooperative industry partners dedicated to advancing anatomical pathology to benefit patient care by advocating and fostering quality, education, and best practices. Corporate Establishment APPIA is an independent not-for-profit corporation established for the purpose of advancing best practices in anatomical pathology through education and advocacy with the goal of improving patient outcomes. Leadership APPIA is governed by a Board of Directors composed of industry leaders engaged in anatomical pathology, and who can make meaningful contributions to the high-level focus areas of patient safety, quality assurance and standardization in the field of anatomical pathology.
