Applied Electro-Optics Inc. (AEO), based in Silicon Valley, was found with the mission of providing innovative solutions and software applications to customers who have challenging and unique inspection and measurement requirements. AEO is a leading supplier of optical inspection systems, metrology instruments and software products. AEO’s inspection systems, equipped with multiple illumination sources: UV, IR and visible lights, have found wide applications in detection of embedded and surface defects of semiconductor, LED wafers, pattern defects of flat panels. They are also used to qualify aerospace, automotive, precision parts and medical devices in QA process. AEO’s metrology instruments are used in the measurement of surface profile, roughness, transparent film thickness, coating and painting layer uniformity. AEO’s image processing software is used in biomedical research and material science for cell, particle counting and feature dimension measurement.
