Applied Polymer Technologies (APT)

“The Applied Polymer Technologies Gateway (APT) is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the ERDF Southern, Eastern & Midland Regional Programme 2021-27", #euinmyregion. Providing world-class solutions for SME's and Multinational companies using polymer materials across the medical, composite, recycling and pharmaceutical sectors. APT is hosted within PRISM , an interdisciplinary materials science and technology research centre. (Polymer, Recycling, Industrial, Sustainability and Manufacturing Research) Institute at the Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands (TUS) has a long history of managing and delivering successful research for the benefit of industry. The PRISM RI is an internationally connected group of researchers specialising in the polymer research and its aim is to develop industry-relevant solutions to research questions spanning all aspects of polymer science and engineering. PRISM researchers are involved in a variety of national and international projects and centres, including: The Enterprise Ireland Funded APT Technology Gateway Centre and the Meat Technology Ireland Technology Centre; Science Foundation Ireland centres for Advanced Materials and Bioengineering (Amber), Smart Manufacturing (Confirm) and Medical Devices (Cúram)
