Appricot var sprunget ur Digital Inn och startades upp 2020 efter att Digital Inn försatts i konkurs. Butiker fanns vid uppstart i Stockholm, Uppsala och Örebro. Under december 2020 öppnades en butik på Åre Torg. Det fanns planer på fortsatt utökning av butiksnät och en butik färdigställdes men öppnades aldrig i Örnsköldsvik.
Omstarten skedde när covid-19 pandemin var som mest omfattande vilket var utmanande på många sätt.
Dessvärre blev bolagets historia kort då Apple sade upp bolagets avtal som premium återförsäljare under juni 2021 vilket medförde att bolaget fick avvecklas. Butiken i Örebro togs över av M-Store under september 2021.
